2 Ingredient Japanese Cheesecake Recipe – How to make the super easy viral creamy no bake cheesecake dessert with only two ingredients – with the video.
2 Ingredient Japanese Cheesecake
I’ve been seeing this 2 ingredient Japanese Cheesecake going viral on social media these past few weeks, it looks almost too good to be true – that just 2 ingredients can be combined, popped in the fridge and create a replica of a rich, indulgent dessert that can sometimes be fiddly to prepare.
So, in the name of research I fell victim to the trend and just had to give it a try.
I went for the only Biscoff biscuits my local store had in stock, which just happened to be an XL variety! It worked fine though, I just had to pop my biscuits into the yogurt horizontally or broken up instead of vertically straight into the yogurt as I’ve been seeing in the countless Tiktoks!
For yogurt, I went for a rich, creamy Greek yogurt, specifically because it came with a sealable lid, rather than one that I had to peel off and then be stuck either with an open dessert in the fridge or trying to wrestle with cling film to cover the yogurt back up.
You can feel free to swap the biscuits for any biscuit you enjoy or can easily get your hands on. I’ve seen versions with chocolate chip cookies, oreos and even ones mixing coffee through the yogurt and swapping the biscuits for sponge fingers, creating a Tiramisu cheesecake dessert.
Another option is to mix chopped chocolate or berries through the no bake cheesecake for a chocolate or berry loaded treat.
You can use as little or as much of each ingredient as you’d like. If you’re making this for one, then a small tub of yogurt and a couple of biscuits will do the trick. If you’re making this for the whole family, then a large tub of yogurt and as many biscuits as is needed to fill said tub is the amount you’d need!
So – to answer the question that you’ve been wondering – yes, it surprisingly DOES taste like a cheesecake dessert. The biscuits soften and when blended together with the yogurt makes you feel like you’re indulging in a rich, decadent cheesecake!
