Peanut Butter Chia Pudding
This peanut butter chia pudding makes the perfect breakfast, snack or dessert that’s quick and simple to prepare and can be ready and waiting in the fridge for you.
Best of all, you can adapt the simple recipe to your own tastes and dietary requirements, mixing in and topping your chia pudding with your choice of ingredients.
The Simple Ingredients For The Easy Recipe
Here is the basic recipe for you, and scroll down for lots more ideas for healthy foods that you can include in your breakfast, snack or dessert treat:
Milk – you can include your milk of choice from whole milk, almond milk, soy milk, oat milk or any other variety you regularly enjoy. You can feel free to swap some of the milk for yoghurt instead if you’d like a thicker, creamier pudding.
Peanut Butter – I’ve included smooth, creamy peanut butter, but you can swap to crunchy peanut butter if you’d prefer. You could also swap the peanut butter for almond butter, cashew butter or another nut butter if that’s what you’ve got in your kitchen.
Chia Seeds – the magical nutritious powerhouse that thickens the treat to the classic chia pudding consistency. You can add more or less chia seeds if you’d prefer a thinner or thicker pudding. You can also pop everything into a high speed blender and blend the pudding together to be smooth and creamy rather than thick and dense.
Honey – to add sweetness, you can add in honey, maple syrup or your sugar or sweetener of choice. I find that one teaspoon is the perfect sweetness level, but you may prefer to add in more sweetness to taste.
Extra Ingredients and Toppings Ideas
You can feel free to either mix through or top your portion of chia pudding with your choice from the following ingredients:
- Berries – strawberries, raspberries or blueberries
- Berry jam – for a PB & J flavored treat
- Chopped banana
- Crushed peanuts
- Grated chocolate, chocolate chips, cacao powder or cacao nibs for an indulgent chocolate peanut butter treat
- Drizzle additional peanut butter over the top of the pudding
Peanut Butter Chia Pudding Recipe
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Honey, Maple Syrup or your sweetness of choice
- Pour the milk into a bowl or jar, add the peanut butter and stir gently to combine together. You can first mix a little of the milk with the peanut butter to help loosen it up and make mixing it all together easier.
- Add the chia seeds and honey, maple syrup or your sweetener of choice and stir well to combine together, ensuring that all of the chia seeds are well submerged in the milk.
- Move to the fridge for a few hours or overnight to thicken up.
- Once thickened, remove from the fridge, top with your toppings of choice and enjoy.
