This air fryer parmesan broccoli recipe is really quick and easy to prepare and makes the perfect, health side dish to serve with any meal.
Best of all, you can adapt the great side dish to your tastes and dietary requirements, to be able to create a dish that your whole family will enjoy.
Easy Side Dish Ingredients
Here are the simple ingredients you need to create the delicious side dish:
Broccoli – you can use fresh broccoli or frozen broccoli in the recipe, simply adjust the cooking time accordingly, with more time added for frozen broccoli.
Olive Oil – you can drizzle over olive oil or use olive oil spray in the recipe.
Parmesan Cheese – you can freshly grate or use already grated or shredded parmesan cheese.
Seasoning – add in your seasoning of choice from sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, chili flakes or any other flavor you’d like.
Additional ingredients – you could add in a squeeze of lemon juice if you’d like to add flavor and to initially poach the broccoli as the lemon juice evaporated. You can also top your cooked broccoli with sour cream or mayo if you’d like.
Air Fryer Parmesan Broccoli Recipe
- 1 Head of Broccoli
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Parmesan Cheese
- Sea Salt, Black Pepper or Seasoning of Choice
- Preheat your air fryer to 200C/400F.
- Chop the broccoli into individual broccoli florets and place into a large bowl.
- Drizzle or spray over the olive oil and toss broccoli well to combine.
- Add the parmesan cheese and your seasoning of choice and toss well to coat in the seasoning.
- Move to your air fryer basket or a well greased tray that will fit in your air fryer, depending on your air fryer model, ensuring that the broccoli is in a single layer.
- Place the broccoli into the preheated air fryer for 4-5 minutes, remove, toss well and return to the air fryer for a further 4-5 minutes. The broccoli may be done after 8-10 minutes or require a further 5-10 minutes cooking time, depending on your air fryer model, how large the broccoli florets have been chopped and whether you’d prefer a more al dente broccoli dish or a crispier one.
- Serve immediately, storing any cooled leftover broccoli in an airtight container in the fridge to enjoy within 24 hours.
