I spent a day sampling my way through the NYC Fancy Food Show, where the best and boldest in the specialty food world gather to show off what’s next. It’s foodie paradise with flavor bombs around every corner—and I found some serious gems you’ll want to try.

Here are the trendsetting bites and sips that stood out most. (Get info at the end on where to find them!)

Struesli Granola

Think of it as the lovechild of streusel and muesli: crumbly, crunchy, and totally addictive. This Connecticut-made granola skips oats and sweeteners, using organic tiger nuts for a naturally sweet, gluten-free mix.

Colombina Bon Bon Bum

If Fun Dip got a spicy, grown-up glow-up, this would be it. These bubble gum lollipops come in watermelon and passionfruit flavors and are dipped in Tajin chile lime seasoning. Sweet, spicy, and wildly fun.

Woodridge Snacks Vacuum-Fried Brussels Sprouts

These crispy, savory sprouts are what happens when veggies meet snack science. The vacuum-frying locks in flavor and crunch (especially good combined with the sweet Thai chili sauce flavor).

Chef Poppin Coated Popcorn

This isn’t your movie theater popcorn- it’s dessert in a bag. I was hooked on the Oatly oat milk strawberry popcorn, but if you love caramel corn vibes, go for the brown sugar boba milk tea flavor.

Tierra Negra Salsa

Tierra Negra’s dark salsa has rich, deep flavors that make tortilla chips feel fancy- like salsa’s answer to craft chocolate. Your favorite grocery store salsa likely pales in comparison.

Lentilful Instant Lentils

These protein-packed cups are the plant-based cousin of Cup Noodles. Flavors like French mirepoix and Mexican green chile make them perfect for quick, satisfying meals on the go.

Azaki Tempe Chips

If tempeh and crackers had a high-protein, high-fiber baby, this would be it. These crispy soybean chips come in savory flavors like roast beef and classic, and they’re a gluten-free snacker’s dream.

El Chaman Hot Sauce

These small-batch sauces take heat to new heights with unexpected ingredients like eggplant. They’re vegan, kosher, gluten-free, and taste amazing on everything from eggs to tacos.

Fortune Favors Nuts

These candied pecans are roasted in a way that brings out the nut’s natural flavor, so they don’t need tons of sugar or salt. The result? A snack that’s sweet, toasty, and totally snackable.

Nemi Cactus Sticks

Made from real cactus, these crunchy sticks are earthy, zesty, and full of fiber. Flavors like pickled jalapeño and chile turmeric pack a punch in every bite.

Taan Thai Meal Starters

Think of this as Hamburger Helper meets Thai takeout. Just add chicken or tofu to these sauces and spices and you’ve got restaurant-worthy Thai food in minutes.

Folds Potato Chips

Folded chips are usually considered factory “oops” moments, but this brand celebrates them. Every chip is that coveted, crispy fold you dig for in the bag, now intentionally made and totally snack-worthy.
